Our New Home!

It's going to be very challenging for me to find exciting things to write about. When we were living in our motorhome and traveling all over the country I always found something different and exciting to write about. I do miss that lifestyle.  I miss having different neighbors each and every day, but most of all I miss sitting out by the campfire.

As they say (whoever "they" are) all good things must come to an end and when one chapter closes a better one will usually open. Nevertheless it was time for us to sell the motor home and move on.

The apartment that we lived in for two years was very nice, it had two bedrooms one bathroom and no laundry room. Unfortunately the rent kept going up and the apartment stayed  the same. We found a single-story townhome to buy  that has two bedrooms a bath and a half a laundry room and a garage. Our mortgage is cheaper than the rent and we have more room and a far nicer neighborhood. My favorite thing about our new home is having my own laundry room. I'm also in love with my kitchen, it's absolutely enormous with lots of cabinets and counter space.

The neighborhood that we live in is very dog friendly  Jodie and I go on many long walks. Our walks are mostly on sidewalks. Walking on sidewalks certainly makes my knees and my legs very happy. Jodie loves to explore all the different neighborhoods that we can walk through. There's also a small wooded area right next to us that has little walking trails, Jodie loves to walk there as well.

Most of the people that live here in the neighborhood are 55 years or older. As you can imagine it's very peaceful and quiet here.

So far we are really enjoying living here in our new neighborhood and our new home.

I'm really looking forward to summer so we can fix our little yard up with beautiful flowers and perhaps fence in our back yard.

Hi Gail, where did you settle down? My husband intends on working another 4 years, but we are thinking of taking a couple month (maybe 4) Rv trip. I enjoyed reading you blog. Hope you enjoy your new home! Kathy Booth Pace
