My Royal Caribbean Cruise! Days 3 and 4

8 night Canada & New England Cruise
Enchantment of the Seas

Day three - Saturday Oct. 19

today's forecast: mostly cloudy 66 degrees
drink of the day: Margarita Azul

After a great night of sleeping, we got dressed and ready for the day. We decided to have breakfast at the buffet called the Windjammer Marketplace instead of going to the dinning room. Breakfast was great, they had tons to choose from.

The ship docked at Portland Maine at around 11:30 in the morning. We went out on our deck and watched as we were headed inland. The ocean is on the friendly side today, not much rocking at all. After the boat was docked, mom and I went out to
explore Portland. We walked around the beautiful town and had fun visiting the little shops. It was a cloudy, foggy, misty day, I did take a few pictures but the sun never came out to help me. After coming back to the ship, we went and had some lunch and took a look at some of the pictures that the photographers took of us. They are everywhere!

We went to watch the Showtime show at the Orpheum Theater, it was a comedy show and we didn’t think it was all that funny. We quietly left the show and went to the Boleros Lounge and enjoyed the music with Roots Vibration. They play a lot of great Reggae songs.

We ended the evening by sitting at the Centrum listening to the Evergreen Trio. Mom and I love to watch and listen to this great group. I’m sure we will enjoy all of this wonderful entertainment again tomorrow evening.

Day 4 – Sunday Oct. 20

today's forecast: mostly sunny 62 degrees
drink of the day: Pirates Punch

The ship docked at Bar Harbor at 8:00 am. After a wonderful night of sleep, we got dressed and went to breakfast at the Windjammer Marketplace. We ate and had coffee and went to the main desk to book a tour. It turned out that all the tours were booked for today. We will take the tender and go out and about and see what we can get in to. A tender is a boat that takes you to shore from the ship, (if you don’t want to swim, and that would be a long cold swim). The tenders are running every 20 minute's. We took the tender from the ship into Bar Harbor.

Bar Harbor is a beautiful town. If I had a word for this wonderful town, my word would be picturesque! We had some yummy lobster rolls at the Fish House Grill restaurant. A lobster roll is fresh lobster salad on a toasted roll. The restaurant was playing classic rock and roll music (Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin).

After lunch we bought tickets for a trolley to tour Acadia National Park. This park is so very lovey and has a lot of history. The trolley took us up to Cadillac Mountain. Cadillac Mountain is the tallest Mountain on the Eastern Seaboard. On top or Cadillac Mountain we took some pictures of our cruise ship, the ship looked like a toy from the mountain. We also able to see some of the many Porcupine Islands that are in Bar Harbor (I think there are 6 of them). We had a nice dinner in the dining room and enjoyed some of the music afterwards.

Thanks for reading, life is good........
