My Royal Caribbean Cruise! Days 5 and 6

Day 5 – Monday Oct. 21
Enchantment of the Seas

todays forecast: breezy, cloudy 58 degrees
drink of the day: Blue Caribbean

We pulled into Saint John, New Brunswick at around 7:00 am. We entered a different time zone and had to set our watches up one hour, we are on Atlantic Time.

Yesterday we purchased tickets to take a train tour of Saint John and the Bay of Fundy. We were not all that impressed with the tour. We also found out that you can buy your tour tickets in town after you get off the ship for less than half the price as buying them on the ship. That’s what we did yesterday and we liked the tour better. Saint John, New Brunswick seems like a nice town, but it’s not the prettiest town we have visited. The Bay of Fundy is very pretty and interesting. This bay has the highest and lowest tides in the world. The train took us to see the amazing Reversing Falls Rapids. After the tour, we took the “Big Pink Bus” for another short tour of the town and the bay. After the tours we did some souvenir shopping.
When we came back to the ship, we went to listen to some great music at different lounges. Later in the evening we went to the Orpheum Theater to see a wonderful musical.

    Day 6 Tuesday Oct. 23
             Enchantment of the Seas

todays forecast: mostly sunny 58 degrees
drink of the day: Lush Mint Lemonade

We had a good night sleep, didn’t wake up until 8:30. We arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia at 10:00 this morning. This will be our last day at port, the next two days we will be out to sea, making our way back to Baltimore MD.

We went out to explore the town of Halifax. We did some walking when we discovered an Internet café. Mom waited at one of the tables while I ran back to the ship to grab my laptop. Man oh man did I need my Facebook fix. We had to buy some coffee in order to use their Internet, and we did (Internet was available for 45 minutes with each purchase). We had a great time posting some of our favorite pictures on Facebook so our friends and family could look at them and laugh. After sitting at the Internet café and buying coffee and cookies, we did some more sightseeing and souvenir shopping we came back to the ship. It seems like it was a lot colder than 58 degrees out there, we actually needed gloves.

Out of all of the towns that we had the chance to visit, Bar Harbor Maine has been my favorite.

We had an excellent dinner in the My Fair Lady Restaurant. I had a Salmon filet with fresh vegetables and mom had Tiger Shrimp with rice and veggies. After dinner we went to a magic show at the Orpheum Theater. The magic show was fabulous! After the Magic show we went to the Spotlight Lounge for some good old fashion Karaoke! What a great time, mom and I laughed and laughed.

We are now out to sea and the ship is rocking ever so gently.

Thanks for reading, life is good........
