Hot And Steamy!

It has been very hot and steamy for over a week!  Temps have in the low 100's!  The weatherman said that today is going to be the last day of this terrible heat.  We've had no rain in quite sometime and everything is dried up. I have a funny feeling that a big bad storm is going to come.

We certainly could use the rain, but not any damaging winds or hail.  Some of our neighboring towns just got their electric back after not having it for over nine days.  That is an awful thing to be without in this heat!

It's been a hard transition going back to work after having some relaxing time off. I had such a nice time with my family. I did however enjoy going back to work at the mall yesterday just to be in the air conditioning. Believe it or not, I was chilly, but it felt good.  When I got off and walked out to my car, my glasses steamed up.

 The campground was busy both weekends for the 4th of July.

We decided this past weekend that the diner would change the dinner menu because of the heat.  We did not turn on the grill, but served cold salads, sandwiches, gazpacho soup, fruit and much more. We did turn on the grill for breakfast and that was enough heat for the day for the cooks.

Today is the big clean up day for TC.  He is working like a dog out in this heat.  I make sure he is taking many breaks by sitting inside for a bit and drinking plenty of water. 

I will cook him a delicious steak dinner after it cools down a bit.
