Football, Friends, Sun, And Remembering!

I saw a strange thing today, it was bright, warm and wonderful. It was the sun! Yes, we missed you Mr. Sunshine, you are glorious!

Unfortunately we had so much rain, we were flooded in yesterday. I actually had an unscheduled day off, because I couldn't get out. I'm not use to having an unscheduled day off.  I wasn't sure what I could get into. I couldn't go anywhere, so I cleaned. I cleaned everything I could get my hands on. Pretty exciting, don't you think? I'm the cleaning machine.

I did have plenty of time to watch the news and the interesting stories of the lucky people that survived the horrible 911 attacks 10 years ago. I also remember the unlucky ones that did not make it. That is a day I will never forget. I think that is why I cleaned so much. Whenever I stopped, I cried!

The creek went down and I was able to get out to go to work at the mall today.

TC only had to work in the morning. He was happy with his afternoon off. TC enjoyed watching the first game of the Baltimore Raven's. The Raven's played the Pittsburgh Steelers. Raven's fans really dislike the Steelers, the true Raven's fans call them the "Squeelers". The Raven's beat the Steelers 37 to 7. All of the Raven's fans were happy to say the least.

Sara and her puppies
Tonight we had a little get together for our special friend, Sara. Sara "workamped" for us this summer. She is an amazing person. She is leaving first thing in the morning and we will miss her dearly.

Jeanne, Sara's mother and our gardener
People always ask me what I enjoy most about this full-time RV "workamping" life. I tell them the reason I love this lifestyle, is meeting people like Sara.

The gang

We had a great time in the diner eating pizza, drinking wine, laughing, talking and remembering all of the great times we had together.

Sara, having you here for the summer was a huge delight!

“Now, we have inscribed a new memory alongside those others. It’s a memory of tragedy and shock, of loss and mourning. But not only of loss and mourning. It’s also a memory of bravery and self-sacrifice, and the love that lays down its life for a friend–even a friend whose name we never knew."
