Just when I think I heard and seen it all, and new one comes along.
Most of our campers are very nice, courteous, and polite. every once in a while we get one of the ugly ones.
This weekend we had a family that took up 3 tent sites. It ended up that there were about 25 of them. Our sites are rated for 2 people. Extra adults are $7.50 per day and children are $3.00 per day. They were trying to get away without paying for the extra people. After much conversation and the chance they would have to leave, they came up with the extra money.
I was working in the store on Saturday and some of the same campers came into the store dripping wet from the pool. I told them they had to dry off before coming into the store. Puddles on the floor can be very dangerous for the the other campers. The one boy looked at me and said "you are only telling me that because I'm black" I informed him that no matter what color you are, you can not come into the store unless you were dry. The same rules apply to everyone. A few minutes later, a camper came into the store and told me that some of the children were getting our life jackets (the ones we use for the canoes) and throwing them into the pool, trying to hit other swimmers. Once again I had to tell them that they had to follow the rules, no life jackets in the pool, they are used for the canoes.
|Help! I need a drink!|
Sunday is our big check-out day. TC is in charge of cleaning up all of the sites.
One of the sites had a hole dug and filled with human poop! Yes that's right, someone dug a hole and pooped in it! We do have bathrooms! What kind of people do this, they didn't even cover it up? Needless to say these campers have been black listed!
Now, I think I heard and seen it all.............
