Getting Ready For Company!

Unfortunately, our company might be the one and only,  Hurricane Irene. Lisa, Jim and Jackson (TC's daughter, son in-law and grandson) were going to come and visit and camp with us for for the weekend but had to cancel because of this nasty unwelcome visitor! They live in New Jersey, just one hour from the ocean. They did not want to drive back into the storm on Sunday. I guess it's best for them to stay home and secure their home.

We are filling our fresh water tank and our propane tank just in case this storm knocks out our electric. Water in our tank will enable us to shower, wash dishes and flush the toilet.  We can run our refrigerator, our hot water heater and cook with propane. We have a generator for our electric that runs off of diesel fuel and our tank if full.  You never know with all of this rain and stormy wind.  Thank God we live in a self contained motor home!

I'm praying that living in Western Maryland will keep us safe from this horrendous  hurricane. We are at least 4 hours from the ocean which is a good thing....

Wow, first an earthquake and now a hurricane to deal with. Stay safe and let us all know how you are doing. Sounds like you are as prepared as you can be.

We have also filled our water and fuel tanks so we can have water and electric is it all goes bad. we are in Bangor about 40 miles from the ocean, but I think it will not be too bad this far north. stay safe!
