Some Facts On Williamsport MD!

Williamsport, Maryland was named after Revolutionary War General Otho Holland Williams. The town was once considered for the site of the nations capitol, but due to the shallow depths of the Potomac River, it was overlooked. Williamsport was the site of General Lee's retreat to Virginia after the battle of Gettysburg.

Williamsport, then and now, is interspersed with large shade trees, imaginative rain spouts, beautiful old homes and churches, historic sites, modern complexes, affordable housing for senior citizens, retirement communities, and hospitable people.

I love the town of Williamsport and would like to settle down here one day. We are in beautiful country. I'm not a city girl, but I like being close to medical facilities and major shopping, Williamsport is perfect for that. I think it's so funny that we have travelled all over the USA and Mexico and here we are back close to home, just to find this to be the best place for us!

The weather has been heaven. We are going to get some cooler weather starting tomorrow. I can't beleive this beautiful weather for October.

How cold does it get in the winter? Are you sure you're going to like that in the rig? :)

Up here in Scranton the days are still in the 60"s but the nights fall to the freezing mark,Winter is coming, it seems like the weather we start to get after Thanksgiving in Dec in MO.I was sure hoping this would have been our first winter to head south, Oh well maybe next year. Be safe out there, Sam & Donna.
