Hot Fun in the Summertime!

Yesterday was my day off and I had a wonderful day indeed.

 

TC and I were both invited to go to my moms house to eat some delicious steamed Maryland crabs. The crabs were huge and very tasty. It was a very hot day.  We ate the crabs, burgers, corn on the cob in my mom's garage with a fan running. 
After living in Mexico, the heat here doesn't affect me as much as it use to. We are having a heat wave but I know it won't last for long.

 

It was back to work today for me.  I'm glad that I do work inside with the air conditioning. I feel sorry for anyone that works outside in this heat.  TC is working outside this evening, but he can always go inside and sit in the AC for many breaks.

 

Working in the mall today was slow, I thought the mall would be busy because of the heat.  Usually on hot days, people like to go to the mall to shop in the cool air conditioning.

 Actually, the weather isn't that bad, I've seen far hotter

temperatures. The bad thing about this heat wave that we are having, are the horrible thunder storms.  I don't mind the storms, but my dog, Jodie is terrified when we have them.  She really freaks out, she will run to me at the first sound of thunder and just sit beside me and tremble. I try to calm her down and talk to her and rub her belly. We just wait it out and soon the terrible sounding storm will go away.
