My Royal Caribbean Cruise! Days 7 and 8

Day 7 Wednesday Oct. 24
Enchantment of the Seas

todays forecast: partly cloudy 62 degrees
drink of the day: Tropical Sunset

Once again we slept in, didn’t get up until 8:30. We went to breakfast at the buffet and walked around the ship wondering what to get into. Mom and I decided to go to the pool area and get into the Jacuzzi and relax. This was mom’s first time in the hot tub and she enjoyed it. We are at sea all day today and tomorrow. Having days at sea, makes you want to take naps and rest. We did indeed rest and take a nap.

After our nap we dressed for our formal dinner in the dinning room. The My Fair Lady Restaurant served up some yummy lobster tail and shrimp. After stuffing our face (which we seem to do a lot on this ship) we went to the Headliner show at the Orpheum Theater, starring singer/impressionist/pianist Bobby Arvon of the “Happy Days” TV theme. Wow, did he put on a great show and he plays a mean piano. After the show we went back to watch the Love and Marriage game show. We laughed so hard my sides hurt. They picked couples out of the audience. One couple has been married for 5 years or less, the other couple for 20 years and the third couple married for 40 years or more.
We had a fabulous day out at sea.

Day 8 – Thursday Oct. 25
Enchantment of the Seas

forecast: partly cloudy 67 degrees
drink of the day: Caribbean Sunshine

We slept in until about 8:30, this sleeping in stuff is about to end. This is our last day on the cruise. We had breakfast at the wonderful buffet again and went to the centrum to watch the International Parade Of Flags. There are people from over 50 country's working here on the Royal Caribbean. We really enjoyed the show and took a ton of pictures. After the show we went to play some trivia with our friends, Joyce and John. We did not win, but I think we came in third.

Mom thought it would be fun if I went bungee jumping on the trampoline on the 10th deck. So being the crazy girl that I am, I did it! WOW what fun, I had a blast! This day has been the best weather day of the entire cruise. A sunny beautiful day to be on the 10th deck.

Unfortunately we had to make an emergency stop in Norfolk Virginia. Someone on the ship had a stroke and needed to get off the ship a.s.a.p.!

We had a very nice dinner at the My Fair Lady Restaurant. After dinner we went to the fair well show at the Orpheum Theater. We went back to our cabin and packed everything up. We will be in Baltimore MD tomorrow at 7:00 am.

This ends our fabulous cruise vacation.

Thanks for reading, life is good..........

A few notes: The people that work on cruise ships, work 24/7. We had the best customer service, everyone was always smiling, courteous and friendly. All of us who work with the public should take lessons from these hard workers!

Thank you to a very special lady; my mom for taking me on the best vacation ever! I enjoyed spending time with you!  I will treasure these memories forever!

At the moment we are being pounded by Hurricane Sandy, more on this nasty storm later.......(I'm sure glad I'm not on that ship now)

I was also on that cruise; the crew are hardworking wonderful people!
Also glad we came back to port before Hurricane Sandy. I hear the next cruise to Bermuda did not make it out of the Chesapeake Bay where they remained anchored. Enjoyed your postings.
