KOA Come Camp & Care With Us Weekend!

Not only is weekend Mother’s Day it is also our 9th Annual KOA Come Camp & Care With Us Weekend. When you stay as a paying guest at a participating KOA on Friday, May 11, your Saturday, May 12 stay at that campground is absolutely FREE!

Having cancer shouldn’t mean giving up the joys of childhood. That’s why the KOA Campground Owners Association created the Care Camps Trust — to help children who have cancer enjoy care-free time focusing on fun, friends and activities at sleep-away camp instead of on their illness.

KOA Care Camps is a group of 43 specialized summer camps located throughout North America that provide a true summer camp experience for children with cancer and their siblings. Each year, Kampgrounds of America and its local KOA owners raise funds through camper donations to support these very special camps and deserving children.

We have many activities going on this weekend to raise money for the care camps. Some of our activities include: Making Mother’s Day’s cards, painting wine glasses for mom, a wine and cheese social, tie dye tee shirts, a coloring contest, bingo, wagon rides, a magic show, movies at the theater in the woods, making sand art, making sun catchers and so much more.

Every campsite is booked and it looks like Mother Nature is going to cooperate and provide with us with some wonderful weather.
