Happy Easter!

I had a wonderful Easter Sunday. 

I had off from both jobs and went to visit my mom. Before going to visit my mom, I asked TC to go into the woods and get me some blooming dogwood branches. 

Mom and I went to visit my dads grave site and we gave him the dogwood branches. Blooming dogwood was one of my dads favorite.  

After our visit with dad, we went to the Annual “PEEPshow”.

The annual PEEPshow displays hundreds of wacky marshmallow masterpieces created by local artists, families, business, and community groups.  We went there last year and it gets better and better each and every year.

It always amazes me what talented people can do with marshmallow peeps. I never liked to eat them, but they sure do make great art!

After touring the peep show, we went on a road trip to Hampstead MD to visit with my cousin, Stacy. 

Stacy did not expect us and was very surprised to see mom and myself.  We had a great visit with Stacy, Teena, uncle Dick and all of their family. 

 Uncle Dick is my fathers brother.  I don’t get to see this part of my family that much and I enjoyed it immensely.  It seems lately that we all get together only at weddings or funerals. With the price of gas, it’s a wonder that people can visit family members at all, sad but true.
