Ding Dong!

Just to add more to the wonderful holiday sounds that  I get to hear each and every day, all day long while working at the mall….

…… yep, you got it, the The Salvation Army Bell Ringer!

I know that they do an important job raising money for a good cause.  They stand in front of our door and ring that dang bell all day long!
 bell-ringers
Now I get to hear about mommy kissing Santa Claus,  how Rudolph saved the night with his nose so bright,  how to deck the halls with boughs of holly (who does that and what is a bough)?   and that dreaded bell ringer.

I did have a good day at work today. The funniest thing that happened to me today was a customer asking me if Black Friday was on a Friday. Go figure……

Thanks for reading, life is good.......

Sure hope the steady overload does not dampen the holiday spirit:)

Yeah, some stores are starting on Thursday - I hope they are boycotted! Just my opinion...I love Christmas but not the sell, sell, sell, buy, buy, buy.

It's when you get back home at the end of your shift and the sounds of the bells and music are still racing around in your head that's the worst.

Many, many years ago I worked for a restaurant chain called "Mother's", and we played music from the 20s on a continuous loop. (they were actually eight track tapes!) It would get changed at Christmas time, and we'd listen to that tape for whatever number of weeks it took, but MAN did we get sick of that music!
Thankfully enough years have passed that it's no longer part of my collective memory, so maybe there's hope for you that you too can forget all the music getting drilled into your skull every day?
Fingers crossed.

I always give a couple bucks to the salvation army any time I pass by, but I SURE wouldn't want to be within earshot of that flippin' bell all day! Yikes!
