Trust Is Like A Vase.....

......once it's broken, though you can fix it the vase will never be same again.

I love both of my jobs, here at the campground and working at my store in the mall. Most of my co-workers have become good friends.

Working here at the campground is really a lot of fun, sometimes we have a hard time with a camper or two, but we never have problems with each other.

Working in a commission job is entirely different. Greedy  co-workers suddenly come out of the woodwork.
At my job in the window department, we do custom orders. We get customers that come in, and we do a quote for them. Usually they try to come back when you are working. Sometimes they will come back when you are off. When a customer comes in a asks about a custom order, I always ask if someone else has helped them. If one of my co-workers already has a quote in for them, that employee gets the sale.
This past week, I lost a $2000.00 sale because my co-worker is greedy. She knew that I had talked to this customer because that customer had my business card with the quote paper. She (my co-worker) pretended not to see it. That could have been $60.00 on my pay check. I'm not that upset about the money, I thought she was my friend and I trusted her.
This is the main reason I don't like commission jobs. I could not do that to my co-workers and sleep at nights.

On a different note, Hurricane Irene did drop a few trees and large branches on us as well as a ton of rain. We still have electric and so far it looks like we won't have much flooding. I know the people on the east coast are having many problems.

working in the rain is so much fun after a "hurricane party"
Last night we (workampers) had a hurricane party. We met in the diner for some drinks and laughs.

Thanks for reading, life is good............

Too bad about your greedy co-worker. Some people will to anything for a buck.

Glad you escaped the worst of Irene.

That is to bad, like you said, you thought she was your friend. Money seems to do strange things to a lot of people.

I am so sorry about your co-worker. That is wrong in every way. It hurts when we feel like we've been betrayed by a friend. Sorry that happened to you. I hate commission jobs also. It just causes those kinds of problems.

I never liked commissions either. I'd rather have worked for straight hourly pay.
