Winter Either Bites With Its Teeth Or Lashes With Its Tail!

The trees are bare and naked and temperature has dropped. Mr. Winter is definitely here. Brr.... The wind is blowing and it is very cold and nasty. The temps never got out of the mid 30's today. We are seeing some snow showers, but no snow on the ground, yet.  Being here in Maryland to spend the holidays with our family is worth every bitter cold second, minute, hour and day that we have.

Long days and beautiful weather will be here again soon.  In the meantime, I think there’s plenty I can do to get the most out all of these short winter days and the long winter nights. Working at Penney's is a big help, I'm making some nice friends and a little bit of money. Working at a mall is a great way to do some Christmas shopping on my dinner break. It's a good thing I only get an hour for my break, or I would spend my whole paycheck.

I signed up for a library card at our local library. I'm sure after the holidays I will have plenty of time to read. I'm also considering volunteering at our local animal shelter. When I lived in Kent County I enjoyed being on the board of directors for the Humane Society of Kent County. This winter will go by very fast. Soon it will be spring and all of the trees and beautiful flowers will blooming.

We are also getting some cool weather here in southern Texas. No snow, but cool temps at night.
