Where Did Christmas Go?

The day after Halloween we see Christmas everywhere. You can't go into a shopping center or mall and not see or hear Christmas, they forgot all about Thanksgiving. We went out to run some errands yesterday. We had to stop at Walmart to pick up some supplies. Christmas has left Walmart. Christmas is gone. No decorations, trees, music, everything has left. You would think they would wait until after New Year's. But guess what? We saw hearts, yes lots of hearts. Valentines day is here! I guess after Valentines day we will see swim suites. That's retail for you!

the Conococheague Creek frozen and covered with snow
We dodged the big blizzard they had here on the east coast. Some places in NJ had over 30 inches of snow. We were very lucky, we had no snow at all. It sure is cold out. I woke up this morning to a brisk 24 degrees outside. The wind has been screaming at us for days. That howling wind has made the wind chill temps in the teens.

Love the header. I was surprised at Wal*Mart today too. I was hoping for some marked-down candy or at least some decorations, but everything just vanished. What's up with that?

Glad the blanket of snow missed you! I wonder if the "celebrations" will eventually "catch up" to the next year. Or hey, let's just put it all out at one time!

I don't like that they wrap it up so fast... When I was a kid it all went away after the first but things change. I have been gone from the blogging world for a while & I am trying very hard to get back on the bloggin track... I have missed my blogland friends! Have a Very Happy New Year!!!
