Sad Goodbyes!

Most of the workampers that are still here working are spending time raking and blowing leaves. Getting rid of the leaves is going to take a long time. Having the leaves hang around is a fire hazard.

We had a group camping here this past weekend called the Essex Pandas.  I don't what the name stands for but they come here and camp many times a year. They all have RV's and travel together. They are using the diner to cook a big meal for everyone in the group. The diner is closed for the season therefore the group can use it for every meal. At least it is nice and warm in the diner.

Jeanne is our gardener and left this morning.  That is the hardest thing about workamping, becoming a family and making good friends then everyone leaving. Jeanne is coming back next year. We will miss her, she is a wonderful person. She goes to Louisiana for the winter.

Saturday night we had a farewell cookout for Jeanne. We had some yummy burgers, and all of the fixings. We sat around the campfire and told stories, jokes and drank. We had a great time.

Sunday morning I took off to Bowie MD to spend the night with my daughter. More on my Bowie trip later.........

Although the friends depart, it's nice to hear stories about how close you become when you're working together. Blessings, K

I guess the good part to goodbye is the chance to meet new friends at the next stop and to meet up with old friends later.

I remember Bowie, MD well. We lived in Crofton, MD for three years. Their were a lot of Coast Guard folks living in Bowie while stationed at D.C.

Love the picture of everyone sitting around the campfire. Brings back lots of good memories. Have a good time with your daughter. They are one of Gods special gifts to us.

Sounds like a great place to work. A place where you form a family and folks want to return. It is always tough to say "see ya" but great that you can always meet up again.

I bet those leaves are falling faster than you all can blow them away. Aren't they beautiful though??
