Wow, September Is Here!

The summer just flew by, I can't believe September is here.  It still feels like Summer, we are having record breaking heat. Most of our campers spent the day in the pool.
This pool feels so good
look at me, I'm swimming
I have been staying busy in the office getting ready for the weekend. We had just a few cancellations because of "Hurricane Earl". I had one customer call, his children live on the coast in NC and are evacuating. He had to cancel so his children can come and stay with him in PA. We let him change his reservation to another date.  Usually when you cancel on a holiday you lose your deposit.

It always amazes me how many campers we get in from different countries. This evening I checked in two couples from Germany. They get a 3 month paid vacation every year and have great, affordable health insurance. Can you imagine flying to a different country, renting an RV and travelling all over? Can you imagine having 3 paid months off? Can you imagine being able to afford to do that travelling?

Living in our motor home and "workamping" is the next best thing. We are able to travel, earn a little money, make great friends and enjoy life to the fullest!

I love my job and I love this campground,  I get to meet interesting people from all over the place.

Thanks for reading, life is good..........

I'd be happy with good AFFORDABLE health insurance. We've also seen many foreign RV travelers. They are always interesting to talk with.

I'm enjoying your blog Gail. I wonder if you ever travel to Texas during the winter months?

I just had four months off and really enjoyed it! Can't say I earned any money, though. :)

I have always thought having some R&R makes for a better worker...rested and re-motivated!

That pool does look inviting!!
