This weekend is much busier than I thought it would be, we don't have many sites left. We do have some tent sites for rent. The tent sites are always the last ones to go. The campers who tent camp wait for the weather report, they don't want to camp in 100 degree weather or rain.
Today is going to be a busy day with fun things to make in the craft room, a wagon ride, a magic show and a family movie. The campers have been enjoying the pool, the canoes and eating great food at the diner. The only complaint I've had this weekend is the heat and the flies. That's camping for you!
Last night we did have some much needed rain, thank God. We will be having thunder storms for the next few days.

Reading your post sounded like my own. We are also busier than we expected for the weekend after the 4th. Our section is full. They didn't open the primitive area...they usually don't unless it is really busy. We are still seeing lots of tent campers even though the temps have reached 100. I don't get it???
Yesterday we had some really strong thunderstorms and lots of rain. The winds reached 60mph in places. Scary!
Sounds like some fun things are planned for your campers!! You all take care and enjoy the rain and hopefully NO thunderstorms!
