Why do people want to hurt other people?
All of you moms out there certainly know how it feels when your children are upset because someone is treating them bad. It hurts, you want your children to smile and be happy. Working here in the camp store, I'm always surrounded by children. The parents like to give them money and send them to the store. Sometimes I get frustrated, when they come to the counter many times (always busy times) to ask "what can I buy for a dollar"?. I always try to remember to treat them the way I would like someone to treat my family members. I find it much more fun to make people smile than making them sad. That's the great thing about working here, making people happy is so easy to do.
If you want respect you must give it, if you want kindness, you must give it. Our children are God's gift to us. Life is too short for hate, anger or jealousy. I never realized how short life is until the day I lost my dad. Now I live each and every day as if it were my last day.
Tomorrow I will be spending some time with family, life is so good..........

That is sooo true!! I taught for 35 years (early childhood) and I have seen so many hurtful things that just shouldn't be. Kids can be scarred for life by harsh words or actions.
So glad they have someone like you in the store to help them enjoy.
