It's Christmas time at the mall. This past weekend the shoppers came out with their fighting gloves on. We had some great sales and fantastic coupons. We are all getting ready for black Friday. We open at 3:00 am and close at midnight. Is that crazy or what? It will always amaze me how many people will go out to shop at that hour!
I guess it's all up-hill from here.
The weather has been gorgeous. The days are nice, sunny and warm and the nights are just cool enough to sleep well. We are loving the peace and quiet here at the campground.
We do expect a nice size group Thanksgiving weekend. They come every year. They bring their turkey fryers to cook the birds, they cook many of them. The group will meet at the diner for a huge feast.
Pretty soon the busy season will be behind us, then we can settle in for a long cold winter...........

I guess I'll always be on the outside looking in. Into the Mall, that is. I just figure my time and sleep are worth more to me than any kind of "deal" I could possibly get on "Black Friday" or "Midnight Madness", or any of those other wonderful occasions.

We were always full on Thanksgiving weekend at FDR. Have fun!!
I'm really hoping this will be the last year I cook a big turkey dinner here at the house. Hope o be on the road next year!

I can remember when the stores opened "Early" at 7:00a.m. Seems it gets earlier every year. 3:00 a.m.??? That's just crazy. Hope you have a good day and don't get mobbed by out of control shoppers. I'll be with Bob LOL!!
