Hot, Hot, Sizzling Summer Days!

Summer is here and it is steamy hot! I love summer and I don't mind the heat. We have a pool here at the campground and AC in the motor home. Isn't life great?

Jodie and Lily like to stay inside when it is hot out and watch to world go by from their spot on the dash.

I need a nap.........

I love Jodie..........

Lily is OK, but she is always next to me, I need my space............

We have been busy at the campground and everyone is working hard trying to get ready for the big 4th of July weekend.

Camping here at the Hagerstown KOA is great place to spend the holiday!

We have decided to rent an RV next winter for a trip that will overlap the New Year.I had two interesting telephone experiences with two different KOA people.

The first was at about 4:45 in the afternoon. I had been unable to make a reservation on line into 2012. The lady i spoke with was so nice. She assured me that there were spaces available and she would look into the booking problem. She asked me to call back in ten minutes so she could check with someone else. I spoke with her gain that day and planned on making the reservation the next day after checking with my husband.

The next day I called back and got someone else. This one was very sharp, put me on hold at least four times in the first few minutes of the call. She would answer, I would start and she would put me back on hold. She almost yelled at me because i was trying to make a reservation on the telephone instead of doing it online.

Realizing she was under a lot of stress, the next time she came on the line, I "purred" at her and said it sounded like she was extremely busy. Instead of getting mad myself. She softened a bit and I got my reservation made. Trying to see her side made things go smoother.

The only thing I an confused about is that although she took a credit card number my email confirmation shows $0 as deposit paid. I dread calling again, but I will after I get my credit card statement in a few weeks.

Just a view from a KOA customer. Some RVers seem to feel KOA's are to expensive.

You get what you pay for at "most" KOA's. There is always a bad apple in the bunch. We always liked KOA's because they were extremely pet friendly and clean. Most of them have diners with great food, clean swimming pools, cable TV and wireless Internet. Thanks for your comment. I hope you have better experinces at other KOA's,

It is always nice to have a pool to cool off in when the weather gets steamy! July 4th has always been one of the busiest camping times!! :-)

love the shots of Jodie and Lily on the dash..I am sure you get many people stopping and looking at the two of them..I know we sure would!..I think my boys would do the same if they had a dash to perch themselves upon..although an 80 pound golden retriever is a bit much I think!
