The $90.00 Ride!

I decided to go shopping today.  I drove into a speed trap and got caught. Yep, I now have a $90.00 speeding ticket to pay. There is this span on the highway that goes from 50 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour. Most of the time I pay attention to it, but today I wasn't thinking at all. The police were pulling drivers over left and right. I deserve this ticket, I was driving too fast. I will pay attention to my driving speed in the future.
I had to tell TC about this ticket and he said "why did you do that". I told him that I woke up this morning and thought it would be fun to go out and drive fast and get an expensive ticket.
It was a mistake, most people make them once in a while. Who knows, maybe this was someone's way of telling me to slow down....

Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

There's a place here where the limit was recently changed. It goes from 55 to 50, not the extreme drop like yours, but it's at the bottom of a hill, which means it's even harder to do. I've not understood why they didn't drop the limit it the top of the hill before people are fighting the downhill pull at the same time that they have to slow down, too. Well, except for the opportunity to trap people. Insidious plot, I think, don't you?

true enough!..everyone makes mistakes!..at least it is only $90..the tickets here in British Columbia are well over $150..so for that you can be thankful!
slow down and enjoy the view should be your new motto!

Look what inflation has done, When I was a young policeman a speeding ticket was $20 dollars and $5 court cost, that was affordable, to day Where we live they average $200. It sure makes it look like a revenue thing for the State & Cities rather than a safety thing. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna...

Well at least you brought the car home in one piece. That's better than saying "honey, the bumper's in the trunk". LOL! Pay the ticket and move on....slower! Cheers! ~M

Love the pic -- yes, we have all had days like that...I'd say $90 is a bargain these days. LOL!

TC was lucky, if I would asked that question, I would be the one that was sorry :(

While it is not a good idea to speed. There have been a number of write ups about how locales are targeting drivers with reduced speed limits simply to increase revenue. There is even a web site that lists those places not interested in public safety but increased revenue. So do not take it too hard. :)
