Look Out Below!

The Conocochegue Creek did flood but it did not go over the road. I was able to drive to work and back with no problems. Some parts of the road are very close to the water. I took my time and did some sightseeing along the way.  It was interesting to see trees floating down the creek and the ducks and geese swimming in the street. When the creek floods like this, it really moves fast.

Last night just shortly after going to bed we heard a big bang sound. It was pretty scary, TC went outside with a flashlight and looked around but did not see anything. This morning when we got up, we looked outside and saw what made that loud noise.
This tree looks much bigger in person. Apparently the ground was so saturated that the tree just uprooted and fell down. We did have a ton of rain yesterday.

It doesn't look like the outside of the cabin has any damage. TC checked out the inside and said everything is fine. That was my exciting day, isn't life full of  surprises?

Looks like a close call with that tree, sure glad it didn't do any damage and no one was hurt.

Stay dry!

My gosh! That was an exciting day! We are glad that the tree was only a close call. A lot of ground is saturated everywhere is North America - hopefully the flooding won't be too severe.

Glad it turned out OK, but looks like a close call.

When I hear a tree fall, which happens from time to time in our forest land,I think "firewood."
