Everybody Has A Story!

Working with the public is a great way to meet people. Working here at the campground and working in a department store I meet all kinds of people. Everybody has a story to tell.

The other day I helping some customers that were shopping for pillows.   They were telling me that their house burned down the other week. They were heating their home with a wood stove and somehow that caused the fire. They weren't home, but they had a dog in the house. Their little dog died from smoke inhalation. The gentleman took out his phone to show me a picture of that precious little dog. They both broke down in tears while they were telling me this story. I had to really try hard not to cry with them, so sad.......

I'm tired of posting snow pictures, this is another picture of Mexico, looking out our back door

One time I had a customer wanting to buy some inexpensive curtains, he said that he went home and everything was gone. Apparently his fiance decided the he was not the right man for her and left taking everything, even the drapes. That's a great thing to come home to after a long day at work.

Kindness is the evidence of greatness. If anyone is glad that you are here, then you have not lived in vain.

Sometimes telling your story to a stranger makes people feel better.

A great reminder to be thankful for what we have. Thank you. And what a beautiful photo of Mexico.

I think we humans often just need someone to listen to us, sometimes over and over again. I don’t know you personally but I suspect your one of those people that others inherently know to trust.

What a great post...

We thank the universe all the time for the great fortunes it gives us daily. We finally figured out that what we have may not be much to some folks but is plenty more then others. We are grateful for all of it!

Sad stories. We are indeed lucky!

When I start feeling sorry for myself over something in my life, a story like these can slap me out of the silliness.

I'm sure you are a lovely sympathetic listener. Perhaps you should add 'you know how to make people feel happier,' to your CV.

Don't happy customers spend more freely?

Those are heartbreaking stories. Little do we know what the other person is going through unless we stop to listen.

Although I only know you through this Blog I want to Thank-you for being you.

Blessings
