It's So Hot Inside!

It is extremely cold out.  The temps are in the low 30's during the day and in the teens at night.  I get dressed to go to work in the mall. I wear a nice pair of slacks and a sweater. We are not allowed to wear jeans or tennis shoes. I walk into the store and all of a sudden I'm breaking into a sweat. They are having a problem with the thermostat. It was 82 degrees inside. It was very uncomfortable for me and I didn't have on a winter coat.  Shoppers come in with their winter coats on and they are miserable.  Our sales are down and the managers are getting worried. It is after Christmas and shoppers do have bills to pay. All I am saying is make the shopping environment comfortable and put on some great sales! Who wants to sweat when shopping.

Being so hot at work reminded me of our hot sunny days in Mexico.  This picture was taken on the beach in Teacapan. We use to live very close to this beach. Jodie and I walked there every day.

This picture was taken from our back door at our home we had in Mexico.

I loved living in Mexico, but I'm much happier being here in Maryland. I love my family and I'll take this brutal cold, because I'm a trooper.

Go ahead and bring on this cold!

 Summer is coming!

That is one of my biggest complaints in stores... I come in from the cold and suddenly I am so hot I can't stand it... I leave! If stores would realize people buy more if they are comfortable and can stroll around the store!
Have fun...

Let the manager's worry - the great thing is you don't have to. At least it's hot somewhere in Florida right now.

I was at a J C Penneys today looking at new drapes for the living room. We won't buy any until the dirty parts of the reno are done, but the Penny's ladies were really nice.

I spend bunches more money when I'm comfortable and nice music is playing...perhaps there's something subliminal about that...listen up JCP!

I am with the other comments about being comfy when shopping, if I'm not, I'm gone. I love Penny's though. Always have. Great pictures from Mexico.

I'am a little behind the times here and just trying to catch up on your blog. We haven't been to Teacapan but it sure looks and sounds like we should make it there. It wouldn't be this year but maybe next. Hope things are starting to warm up for you.
