Lots To Be Thankful For!

This Thanksgiving I have a lot to be thankful for. We are so very thankful for our wonderful family, they are awesome. I'm thankful for this beautiful country of ours, we live in a great place.  I'm thankful for our soldiers fighting for our freedom overseas. I'm thankful for all of my friends, including my blogging buddies. I'm thankful that we have heat, it is  getting mighty cold here.  Oops, how could I forget Jodie and Soupy? Yes I'm thankful for the fury kids. I'm so blessed!

I'm thankful they took that soup can off of my head and gave me a nice home

I'm thankful that turkey day is almost here and I will get to lick the turkey plates!

I have had a very hectic schedule this week. I'm all trained and ready to sell great stuff at my store in the mall. That's the most training I've ever had to work at a retail store. Working at a retail store over the holidays will certainly be an experience for me. I'm not a big holiday shopper. I love the holidays for getting together with friends and family to share love and good times. Not to share gifts. I never liked the way some people felt like they had buy someone a Christmas gift, like it was a chore. I love the true meaning of Christmas. I will buy a gift if I see something and think, Wow that would be a great thing go give. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Scrooge, I just don't like the way Christmas has become so  commercialized.

My favorite memories of Christmas are when the children were little. I always loved the school plays and the Sunday school musicals. I thing I love most is the midnight candle light service on Christmas Eve. I cry every time we sing Silent Night. I get so emotional. I also use to cry at every Lassie movie.

I'm thankful that's not my arm hanging out of that motor home

I call people who get up before 3 am to go out and shop on Black Friday  "sport shoppers". I'm not a "sport shopper".  I went shopping on Black Friday once many years ago. I bought my first computer, I had to buy it before 6 am to get the great deal. The crowd waiting in front of the store was very intimidating. I was in fear for my life. By the time I bought the computer and came home, I felt like I ran a 30 mile marathon, my nails were broken, my mascara was running down my cheeks. I even had a few bruises.  I was wiped. Never again!  I don't like crowds or nasty wicked shoppers kicking and clawing to get what they want. It's very dangerous!

I've never gone shopping on Black Friday and after reading about your experience I'm glad I haven't. I don't like the pressure put on us to buy, buy, buy so someone else can make money. The true meaning of Christmas seems to have gone by the wayside. Hopefully, you'll survive being behind a counter.

Have gone shopping on Black Friday twice...once was enough. Had fun with my girlfriend the first time and the second time my d-i-l wanted to go so badly and didn't want to go alone...so I went...I am glad I went to be with her but don't think I will ever do it again. Unless of course, she asks me to go.

Have fun working at JC Penny's.

Have a terrific Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you have a great meal tonight.

We feel the same way you do about Christmas. Just too commercial! We have stopped buying Christmas gifts except for any young family members. We hate shopping and the crowds.

I hope you enjoy your new job and hope you don't get too sick of the Christmas songs they will play over and over agin.

Soupy looks so sweet and I bet see is so thankful to have you both. Hope Jodie is welcoming her into the family too now and not too jealous!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your entire family!!!
I have never gone shopping on Black Friday. I would rather pay full price then battle that crowd and all its craziness. Don't blame you!!
