Last night a group came in for the weekend and rented almost all of our cabins. There are a lot of kids in this group. By the time the weekend is over, these kids will learn to wait their turn and how to say "excuse me", "please" and "thank you". Last night all of the little rug-rats came running into the store dripping wet from being in the pool and made a mess on the store floor. I told them that they had to dry off before coming into to store. They were leaving puddles all over the place and someone could slip and fall and get hurt. It took all night long, but by the end of the evening most of them were following the rules and doing their best to be polite.
This weekend it is "Christmas in July". Tonight we have a family movie. Saturday we have Christmas cookie decorating in the craft room, a wagon ride, entertainment by Men and Machine and a lollipop hunt. Hopefully everyone will have a good time and be dog tired by nightfall!

Your post sounded so familiar! Mike and I work hard on the "rug-rats" to get them to wear their helmets, not ride skateboards or scooters on the roads. We get everybody following the rules and then up pops another family and their children think the rules are not for them. The biggest problem for us is the helmets. It is hot and they don't want to wear them but it's the law.
At least you all have lots of activities to keep everyone busy and happy and perhaps tired by the end of the day.
Have a great weekend!!
