Our Last Winter In Mexico!

I told you about selling our Mexican home in an earlier post. After selling the home we loaded up the Safari motor home and headed back to the states. We first went to Arizona, we like to go to the Beaudry RV Resort in Tucson. We decided to go out and look at newer motor homes, we traded our Safari in for 1999 Dutch Star. We are now full time RV'ers. We took that summer and travelled all over the USA. We went to the east coast to visit with family and friends. After spending time with family we went out west to see Mt. Rushmore and the Grand Canyon. Both Mt. Rushmore and the Grand Canyon are amazing and well worth the trip. When we went to Sioux Falls SD we set up with a mail forwarding service. We can have our mail forwarded anywhere in the USA or Mexico.

After travelling the states we decided to go back to Mexico and say on the beach at Villas Onac for the winter. We had a good time visiting all of our friends that live in Mexico. Villas Onac is a great place to spend the winter. After the great winter in Mexico we came back to the states and started our "workamping" careers. Our first "workamping" job was at the Gettysburg KOA in Pennsylvania.

You can see in the pictures above, me in a powered parachute and the aerial picture of Villas Onac and a picture of the beach. Our friends, Brenda and Joe own the parachute and loved giving people rides.

I miss Mexico and our friends there, but I don't think we will go back. After reading blogs and emails from my friends that are still there it seems that Teacapan and the surrounding area are having many problems with the drug lords and I wouldn't feel safe there anymore. It is really a shame, the people in that part of the country are very nice. The evil people are going to ruin it for everyone. The money the tourist bring into the country is much needed.
For now we are enjoying this great country of ours. Life is good.

That really is too bad about having to give up your winters in Mexico. Better to be safe than sorry, though. We have not taken our RV into Mexico and do not plan to do so. At this point there seems to be more than enough in the U.S. and Canada to keep us busy for the rest of our lives.

Also want to say that I enjoy your blog very much. Keep up the good work on it.
